For many years, I have experienced “floaters” in my vision, which were annoying but tolerable. Over the last year, a new phenomenon occurred in my vision with the addition of translucent “blobs” floating in and out thatey obscure areas in my sight. I first noticed them while reading, then while watching television and currently when talking face-to-face with people. While I can still function in most activities, some are becoming more difficult such as reading. Occasionally some things are completely obscured by the “blobs” which could present problems (and possibly dangers) while driving. It also affects hunting and shooting, and they seem to be progressing.
